From its beginnings in 1979, in the original 6500 sq ft plant Sandel Foods had grown to meet increased customer demands. The company moved to a larger facility in Burnaby, BC, which provided the opportunity to diversify the product lines and thereby more than triple production volume over the following six years.
In 1989, our semi-automated, 32,000 sq ft plant opened in Surrey, BC. This fully equipped facility was continually updated with the latest equipment and technologies allowing development of new and innovative products and packaging concepts. With this new technologies and concepts came a wider variety of glacé fruits, fillings, glazes and sauces.
In 2010 we relocated to our current facility in the Eastern Fraser Valley of BC, an area rich with the highest quality agricultural raw materials. The facility is over 70,000 sq ft of highly automated production lines and designed for high output. Our cooler, freezer and ambient areas are designed for efficient product movement, ensuring orders are filled and shipped with precision. In this larger facility Sandel Foods is positioned to manage strong future growth.
